It is not an easy task to release a second album after having one of the most successful debuts in recent years. Dua Lipa decided to move away from the formula that made her known and take risks to produce a material that has no comparisons in the mainstream. In times where pop is struggling to stay on top of the charts, the British singer drew inspiration from the music of decades past without abandoning the present. In Future Nostalgia, Dua comes out on top fusing dance pop, disco and funk, in a current version of Fever by Kylie Minogue or Confessions on a Dancefloor by Madonna.
