Radiohead

The British band Radiohead was the most important alternative rock band from the 1990s onwards. The group’s sound, halfway between Pink Floyd and U2 and characterized more by the accumulation of textures than by instrumental virtuosity, constituted a perfect platform for singer Thom Yorke’s tormented lyrics. The band became increasingly hermetic and revolutionary as its fame increased, definitively consecrating itself with masterpieces such as Ok Computer (1997) and Kid A (2000). The group would even transfer its constant desire for experimentation to the music business, using unusual distribution and promotion methods for its increasingly spaced but always remarkable releases such as In Rainbows (2007), The King of Limbs (2011) or A Moon Shaped. Pool (2016).
